Sanitation/ Commercial Cleaner Position – $16 per hr. Must have Steel Toe Boots. Must Pass Instant and Hair Follicle Drug Tests. Must Pass Background Check. Must have own vehicle to travel between 3 different Building Locations for Duties.

Reports To: Facilities Manager, Sanitation Manager, or designated Supervisor
Job Summary: The Sanitation/Commercial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment for our clients/guests/staff. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The cleaner will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met in commercial spaces, which may include offices, common areas, restrooms, kitchens, and other designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. General Cleaning:
    1. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.
    2. Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, shelves, window sills, and fixtures.
    3. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
    4. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap).
    5. Clean and sanitize kitchen/breakroom areas, including countertops, sinks, microwaves, and refrigerators.
    6. Clean glass surfaces and mirrors.
    7. Spot clean walls and doors as needed.
    8. Floor Care (may include):Buffing and waxing floors. 
    9. Carpet cleaning (shampooing, spot treatment).
  2. Restocking and Inventory:
    1. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
    2. Report any low stock levels or damage to equipment to the supervisor.
  3. Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
    1. Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, mops, brooms).
    2. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and stored correctly.
    3. Report any malfunctions or repair needs to the supervisor.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    1. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
    2. Follow company policies and procedures regarding cleaning standards and waste disposal.
    3. Identify and report any maintenance issues, hazards, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  5. Communication & Professionalism:
    1. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients, guests, and colleagues.
    2. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding tasks, challenges, and progress.
    3. Respect privacy and confidentiality when working in various environments.
  6. Other Duties:
    1. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, which may include special cleaning projects or event support.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning, housekeeping, or a related field is highly desirable.
  3. Skills:
    1. Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
    2. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
    3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
    4. Good time management and organizational skills.
    5. Ability to lift and move up to 25-50 pounds (depending on specific tasks).
    6. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
    7. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  4. Physical Requirements:
    1. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
    2. Comfortable working with various cleaning chemicals and solutions (with proper PPE).
    3. Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., varying temperatures, noise levels).

    2. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for some positions, especially those involving multiple locations.
