Truss Builder – St. George Regional Team

Starting Pay: $17.00 / hour

Are you built with Grit? US UCP Staffing is looking for fearless, focused, and driven individuals to join our St. George manufacturing team. We aren't just a staffing agency; we are a relationship-driven firm that partners with top-tier industrial and commercial construction clients to build the foundations of our community.

The St. George Advantage

When you work with our St. George branch, you aren't just a number. You will be supported by our local leadership team.

Our team provides:

  • Day 1 Support: We conduct "walkouts," hand-delivering you to the facility to ensure a smooth start.

  • Safety First: We make sure you have the required PPE and formal safety training during onboarding to ensure you return home healthy.

  • Local Presence: We conduct weekly site visits and "Bump Calls" to stay connected with you and the shop supervisors.

What You’ll Do

  • Assembly & Production: Construct wooden roof and floor trusses according to structural blueprints and layouts.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely utilize specialized equipment, including pneumatic nail guns, industrial staple guns, component saws, and truss pressing plates.

  • Material Handling: Stage, stack, and secure completed trusses for transport while keeping a clean and organized work area.

  • Accountability: Maintain weekly communication with your TA Specialist regarding your schedule and pay.

Who You Are

We evaluate every candidate against our four non-negotiable pillars:

  • Reliability: A "bend, not break" mentality, consistent attendance, and punctuality for early shop shifts.

  • Strong Work Ethic: A fearless, driven nature ready to handle fast-paced production lines.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Being the ultimate team player for your assembly crew.

  • Safety-First Mindset: Professionalism, steady focus, and absolute integrity regarding all machinery safety rules.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in St. George and surrounding areas (within 40 miles of our branch).

  • Ability to handle physical labor, lift heavy lumber, and stand for long periods in a production shop environment.

  • Basic math and tape-measuring skills are highly preferred.
